How much money is your phone leaving on the table?
Three inputs, one estimate. Move the sliders to see what missed calls may cost you each year, and what a missed-call text-back system could win back.
Your numbers, in real time.

What the calculator is actually doing.
How the numbers work
The calculator estimates two things: what missed calls cost you today, and how much of that a missed-call text-back system could win back. It uses three inputs and a few fixed assumptions, so you can see exactly where each number comes from.
Missed calls per month. The number of calls your business misses in a typical month. If you're not sure, check your phone log for calls that went unanswered, or count the calls you only returned after the job was already taken. Start with a realistic number, not a best case.
Average job value. What a typical booked job is worth to you. Use the figure you already track for your normal work. Higher-value jobs make every missed call more expensive.
Estimated close rate. Of the callers you reach again, the share that becomes a paying job. The default of 30 percent is the industry average the calculator starts from. If you know your own close rate, use that instead.
The math, step by step
Each part of the result follows the same steps. The formulas below use the values you set above.
Recovered per year = lost per year × 35%
After JTS = recovered per year − Growth plan ($397 × 12 = $4,764)
Return multiple = recovered per year ÷ $4,764
The 35 percent recovery figure is an estimate based on industry SMS response rates of about 45 percent and missed-call recovery research. It is a planning number, not a promise. Actual results vary with your close rate, response times, and season.
The Growth plan is the default because it covers up to 400 missed calls a month. Higher call volume is where the Elite plan, which is unlimited, tends to make more sense.
Who this is for
Owners and office managers at local service businesses that take calls while the crew is on a job. The calculator fits trades such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and landscaping, and other service businesses where a call usually turns into a booked job.
It's a useful first step if you're asking whether a missed-call system is worth its monthly cost. If the recovered number is well above the plan price for your call volume, the next step is a short call to see whether the fit is right.
It's less useful if you rarely miss calls, or if most of your work comes from repeat customers who will always call back. In that case, the numbers will show a small gap, and that's a real answer too.
